It Could Be Worse

So... I was gonna piss and moan about the state of our weather (see above), given as how it's just past noon and we haven't risen above freezing yet.  Note the post title, and Occasional Reader Katy sends along evidence of worse, telling me in part:

We have around 8 inches of snow (almost a foot in Huntsville) & freezing rain all morning - won't get to 32 for several days.  All roads in the Tennessee Valley are considered impassable - jackknifed trucks blocking several major highways.

Aiiieee!  So we're counting our blessings even if we are freezing our ass off.  Relatively speaking.  More "worse," just from a random sampling of headlines on Google News:
